Juvenile Update – Week Commencing 25 July 2011

Under 8 and Under 10 Football
Coaching every Sunday at Grosvenor Leisure Centre, 11am. Blitz for both age groups on Saturday 6 August at Grosvenor, starting at 10am.

Under 12 and Under 14 Football
Training and matches will resume over the next few weeks. Well done to the mentors and boys who represented Davitts at the Ulster Council seven-a-side tournament last Saturday at under 13 level. The team won both their group games against Aldergrove and the St Agnes/Eire Óg combination team. They then defeated St Galls in the final. This follows on from the success that the Under 12s enjoyed in the prestigious Lagmore Gaels seven-a-side tournament back in June.

Under 16 Football
The Under 16 Footballers have just 2 league games left and have the title within their grasp. First of these is on 4 August against Pearses and they play Rossa on 11 August. Let’s hope they can clinch what would be a very deserving trophy and they also have the semi-final of the Championship to come at the end of August.

Minor Football
The minors play Moneyglass on Tuesday 26 August in the All-County chanpionship. It has been a great season for this age group with a number of the boys already representing the club at South Antrim and Senior level. Well done lads.
