We entered the annual St Teresas Over 40s Sevens last Saturday with our group comprising of Lamh Dhearg and Cargin. In our opening game we went down to Lamh Dhearg by a single point  and the boys will tell you we should have won. We had a few goal opportunities which we didn’t convert and heading into injury time the scores were level but we were ahead on the 45 count back. However we lost possession of the ball and Lamh Dhearg capitalised with the winning point.
Our second game was against a Cargin select and this game went right to the wire ending in a draw. Credit to those who participated and no doubt everyone was feeling the effects of the heavy conditions the next day. For photos of the games click here.
Lamh Dhearg went on to win the competition when they beat St John’s in the final.
