Young Davitt’s side keep on winning

Last Friday saw another very impressive performance and result for the Davitts under 12 footballers when they defeated a spirited Gortnamona team. Gortnamona started very brightly and scored a goal and a point in the opening five minutes. However, this proved to be the wake up call that the young Clonard outfit needed and once they got going, the Gortnamona defence found it very difficult to cope with their attacking play.Martin Bradley was the architect of almost every Davitt move as he worked tirelessly in midfield to win possession and then used the ball very well to bring others into the game. Martin notched a few long range points, whilst Niall Hughes bagged a his customery brace of goals, as did the ever improving Brendan Collins, with Coimhin and Aaron Slane also finding the net.
